Simon Beckett is an experienced financial services executive of over thirtyyears with a proven track record in building and developing high performance, customer-focused businesses.

He is an active participant in early-stage Australian Angel syndicate groups and holds a number of prominent board and advisory positions. Simon is also a mentor within the Stone & Chalk program. He has led businesses within major US institutions- including Wells Fargo and GE Capital- to global success.

With a keen eye for developing and nurturing emerging talent, Simon's passion for supporting and growing early stage ventures culminated in the formal founding of First Avenue Ventures: a dedicated, global capital and advisory firm devoted to the success of ground-breaking early-stage ventures. 

 

Simon draws upon decades of experience working across Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand to bring a global perspective to management and problem solving.  He is a strong strategic commercial thinker with a passion for leveraging innovation to deliver creative solutions and meet the needs of the market across challenging economic and business cycles.
